Providing infrastructure support across Shropshire to the Charity, Community and Voluntary Sector

About us

The Shropshire Infrastructure Partnership (SIP) is a well-established partnership of Community Resource, Qube, Energize, and SYA. Collectively we have been delivering infrastructure support to the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Shropshire for more than 20 years.

Together we offer services to build a well-informed, vibrant and sustainable voluntary and community sector, equipped to address local needs.

SIP-About-VCS

What is VCS infrastructure support?

Infrastructure support covers all aspects of information, advice and guidance given to VCS organisations to enable them to run effectively, legally, safely and sustainably.

Infrastructure support provides resources for capacity building, training, networking, policy development, becoming a commissioned provider, funding opportunities, volunteer recruitment and volunteer management support.

Our history

Shropshire organisations have worked in partnership for decades to provide infrastructure support to voluntary and community groups across the county.

The Shropshire Infrastructure Partnership (SIP) was established in 2006 and was made up of a consortium of organisations that came together so they could maximise the impact of their services.

Since its inception, members of SIP have continued to work together, sharing information, signposting and collaborating on projects and services.

By working in partnership together, SIP ensures that established groups and charities across Shropshire are able to operate safely and effectively, ensuring they are in the strongest position to meet the needs of their local communities.
